“Attending births is like growing roses.  You have to marvel at the ones that just open up and bloom at the first kiss of the sun but you wouldn’t dream of pulling open

the petals of the tightly closed buds and forcing them to blossom to your time line.”

Birth Support

I provide perinatal support for women from pregnancy through postpartum. I provide support and information from a holistic perspective as pregnancy and birth are very much a whole person experience.

During pregnancy I provide support, education and information for a healthy pregnancy. I am independent and self-employed meaning I work for you and your support will be individual for what you and your family need. In our prenatal meetings we will become acquainted and explore and discuss your priorities and any fears or concerns, and plan how we all might best work together.

Doula care includes providing non-medical birth support, suggestions for well-ness for you and baby, information to help you decide on which options you would like with care and compassion. As I work for you I  help promote a safe and satisfying birth experience for you, your baby and your family. Through woman-centered focus I will draw on my knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort, and the information you need to make informed decisions as they arise in labour. I provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labour progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning and other techniques for comfort.

After birth I offer postpartum support for the following 6 weeks. My lactation consultant services are available as part of my services for the first week postpartum. We will meet several times after birth

and I will give suggestions for healing and comfort.

Birth support package fee: $1200 (contact for special financial offerings)

Parenting a newborn 101

Confidence & Connection for parenting a newborn.

Postpartum support for the new family.

The perinatal period also includes those weeks and months after baby comes. I provide a safe place to ask questions, review your birth and support you as you learn about being a new parent. Often times families are so focused on the birth that they almost forget they are bringing home a brand new human. Perhaps your pregnancy and birth did not go as you expected and now you are unsure of what to do next. Healing and well-ness in the postpartum period can include learning about how to nutrition, anxiety, and support can all have an impact.  If you would like to learn more please message. If it is the first week postpartum I can do home visits.

In home or in office $120.00
